Two very active parishes in the Harrisburg Diocese – St. Anne Church and St. John Neumann Church – support St. Anne School. St. Anne is a Catholic elementary school, but welcomes all denominations to its community. All students participate in:
- Daily morning prayer service.
- Daily religion instruction, with Christian principles woven into all subjects.
- The Angelus is recited every day at 12:00.
- Afternoon prayer concludes each day.
- Masses are celebrated on Holy Days and other special days throughout the year.
- Sacramental preparation is a primary focus in both 2nd and 8th grades.
- Stations of the Cross during the Lenten season.
Catholic students also are prepared for the sacraments of the Eucharist, Reconciliation, and Confirmation, and have opportunities to receive the sacrament of Reconciliation throughout the school year. Morals and ethics are priorities in the students’ daily lives, and all children are taught to be responsible for their actions. Both students and parents can participate in prayer groups.
“Nothing can take the place of Catholic education…that is why we try to make St. Anne School the very best possible.”-Msgr. Richard Youtz
