St. Anne School receives Middle States Accreditation!
The Middle States Commission on Elementary Schools announced recently that St. Anne School has been awarded accreditation by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. Accreditation signifies that St. Anne School has met the MSCES Standards for a quality school. These Standards reflect current research and best practices from throughout the education profession. During the term of accreditation the school community will engage in a Commission-directed series of reports and/or site visits to maintain the vigor of the accreditation process.
Accreditation by MSCES is recognized around the world as an indication of trustworthiness, educational quality, and a commitment to on-going school improvement. F. Laird Evans, Ed. D., President of the Commission, offered his congratulations to the entire St. Anne School community, adding: “MSCES accreditation is a recognition of both prior achievements and a commitment to greater future accomplishments.”
The principal of St. Anne School, Dr. Chris Kennedy noted that he was very excited about receiving the accreditation. “This is a testimonial to the tremendous job that our faculty, students and parents do on a daily basis. I am very happy to have been able to see this process through to its successful conclusion. Receiving accreditation is not the end, though, but another milestone in our continuing efforts to make the school the best it can be on a daily basis. We will continue to implement our strategic plan, with the next big milestone being the implementation of a new facility for the school.”
Dr. Kennedy noted that the school is currently working on plans to build a new school facility on the campus of St. John Neumann parish in Manheim Township, which will be part of the parish’s new Blessed John XXIII Religious Education Center. The capital campaign for this project is expected to start in the fall of 2009, with the school moving to the new facility in 3-4 years.
