The Crusaders Youth Activities Association (CYAA) may teach the fundamentals of basketball, soccer and cheerleading, but we are most proud of the values it teaches our children!
Bringing children together as a community, this program offers an avenue for involvement after school. Having fun and building confidence while learning sportsmanship, teamwork and respect for one another is the focus of this program. CYAA is an active participant in leagues involving boys and girl’s basketball, soccer (fall and spring) and cheerleading. All children from St. Anne Parish, St. John Neumann Parish and students at St. Anne School are eligible to participate. Adults and young adults are needed for coaching, score or time keeping, selling concessions and helping with fundraising.

CYAA Funding
A key-funding source for the CYAA is through program registration fees. The current registration fee is $40.00 per program.
Resources for the programs are greater than what our registration fees provide, therefore additional funding is required:
- Christmas Give-a-way (October – December) – Basketball players and cheerleaders are offered the opportunity to sell raffle tickets for this fundraiser.
- Pancake Breakfasts are offered at Saint John Neumann and St. Anne’s Churches to raise additional revenues and build camaraderie
We are not just about Sports …
- Skating Parties: To build community and provide our children a time to socialize and have fun, the CYAA sponsors two skating parties.
- Annual Banquet: Held each Spring, our annual banquet is a time to celebrate the many talents of our children and volunteers.
- CYAA Christmas Program: St. Nick and his helper (bet you can’t guess who they are!) visit St. Anne’s students to share the Christmas spirit.
- Fittipaldi Scholarship: We are proud to sponsor a scholarship to an eighth grade student who is planning on attending LCHS in the fall who exemplifies CYAA sportsmanship.
- Rosary: All participants of the CYAA are encouraged to join us in the reciting of the rosary on the 1st Monday of every month at 6:30 at St. Anne’s Church.
- CYAA Mass: We are a faith-filled community that values our relationship with God and each other. Once a year, we join together at a special mass to thank God for the very many gifts that He shares with us!
